Functional Nutrition & Hormone Health For Women

Hi — I’m Flannery Nielsen, MS, RD | Founder of The New Nourished

I chose to study nutrition after experiencing my own challenges with both digestive issues and disordered eating. This is a core reason why gut health and a positive relationship to food are so important to me — and something I prioritize with each client.

I spent years and years stressing out over trying to eat “perfectly” but eventually realized that I was only causing more problems – including hormone imbalances, hair loss and lots of anxiety. Studying yoga and intuitive eating principles helped to kick start my healing process and both still influence how I work on mindset with clients. Finally, when I started learning about functional nutrition, everything just clicked. It helped me understand my body more fully so I could nourish it while still enjoying the foods I love and I knew I wanted to help others do the same.

My goal with The New Nourished is to help women re-connect to their inner wisdom so they can feel at home in their bodies and optimize their health in a way that is both simplified and sustainable.
